Samantha, an ordinary girl whose dream is to be part of the cinema industry, the industry whereby everyone is attracted. Her dream is not to be an actress but to be the captain of the ship, which is to be a director.
Samantha is not from a well-being family who can afford to support her further studies. Her father is a taxi driver whose has to take care of the family consists five of them. Samantha is having a very loving family.
Even though she is unable to purse her higher studies in the field she wanted, she didn’t just sit there and waste her time. She did continue her studies in accounting. She work and pay for her studies.
She had a great passion for writing. It was her friends who have been so supportive and advice her to continue her studies in filming. She was writing since the age of eight.
At her age now (22), her friends have finished their degree but Samantha just completed her Advanced Level which is equivalent to a diploma. After completing her Advanced she applied for a job in Kuala Lumpur (KL).
She knows nothing about KL and also not sure where she will be staying. Samantha is actually taking a risk to achieve her dream. She went there a week before her commencement date. This is to arrange a place for her to stay.
She straightaway meets her friend Angel at the Pudu Raya bus station, an angelic friend she is. Angel offered her place to Samantha, since she is staying alone. Samantha already has sketched a plan for her dream.
For one whole day Samantha didn’t sleep. She was thinking what she must do to reign her dream. She is only having two options:
1. Further her studies in filming, which will costs around RM 60-70K
2. To join a director as assistant.
Samantha prefers the second but still she don’t have any experience. The more she thinks, the more she get confuse.
The next day itself she went to meet a Malaysian director, Mr Mark, with whom she had already fixed an appointment before step in KL. Angel followed her as a moral support.
Mr. Mark has already read her story and wanted to meet her. After the meet Samantha join Mr. Mark as his assistant. Samantha has already cleared to the director regarding her position and her work.
That wasn’t a problem for Mr. Mark. During day, she joins Mr. Mark whereas in the night she was at her office, shift job, and she took night shift.
After three years being an assistant, Samantha has confidence to direct her own movie. She was a bit confused to decide which story she wanted to direct. She spends two days for that and finally she chooses the story which she not yet write. The story, The Almighty wrote for her. It’s her own life story.
She gathered her team. First of all she had cleared them that this is not for profit purpose. She finances herself for this project. The reason was she feels that this story will hardly return the investment, that’s why she didn’t approach any producers.
Few months later, her project called ‘DREAM’ is completed. It was premiers at selected cinemas.
But did ‘DREAM’ do well in cinemas? Did Samantha get back
her investment? Did she become as a successful director?
What happen to Samantha after directing and producing that
movie?

Kadhal Neethana?
I laughed. “Be chill, I’m just doing this for fun. Basically to find friend.”
“Is it just friend? Actually boyfriend would be much appropriate. Yes, to find boyfriend.” Conversed my little heart.
I am not a person who thinks that love is life, but why I am searching for boyfriend? Simple, because I don’t have one.
School was really a second home for me. I studied in girls’ school which has a shopping complex as its neighbour. Even though a shopping complex is there but I never loiter. When school hour finishes within 20 minutes I’ll be at home. That time I never even thought about the world called chatting, but now I’m BORED! and move to chatting.

I started to chat and manage to get a few friends, which were guys mainly and few girls. All this while I never had a guy friend but now in my MSN, Facebook and YM! contains all guys contacts.
My first friend was an Indian guy staying in Kuala Lumpur. He is a working adult. As my first experience I was quite lucky to have such a gentleman. Then followed by two (2) guys. One of them was gentleman but the other one was completely rude, arrogant and so full of himself.
Few days knowing the first guy, we exchanged phone numbers. Just sms between us. Later on we exchanged our pictures. He was not bad. He would just answered me whatever I ask.
I continued chatting, but this time my cousin sister followed me, no choice had to listen to her.
Exactly on 3rd November 2008, I was chatting with a guy using “bboy”(not real id) as his id. I just followed what my cousin sister told me to type. I was totally rude to him, although I don’t want to do so. The next day, I apologised to him, he accepted.

Initially we became as friends. I added him to my MSN list. After chatting for few days, he asked my number, since he was nice to me I gave it to him. He wanted to call me but I stopped him by saying that I’m a very shy person. He just listens. I asked him is details, as usual. He hardly wanted to reveal about himself. Perhaps he’s afraid of me.
After few times of enquiring, he revealed his name Vidhyatharan Mudhaliyar. At first, I didn’t believe that it’s his name but he insists. He is 25, with two (2) elder sisters and two (2) younger sisters and mom, he has no dad, working as assistant chemist. When I asked his favourite, it was so…well, no words to describe it. I just think how can there be such a nice person. He has no any personal favourite(s), not even colours, he told me he doesn’t like loitering and the worst was he don’t like to watch movies unless persuade by his family. Good things about him were, he doesn’t smoke or drink.
I asked to exchange picture. At first he reluctant but then he send not one (1) but three (3) pictures of him. He’s good looking, fair with moustache and neat hair. We usually chat at night.

One (1) afternoon, I was having my lunch. I received an mms. Again he sends me his picture. Maybe he wants to share that moment with me, I thought.
I continue to chat. Most people doubted that I’m a Muslim girl because of my name, Sahaliya Nair. Some even proposed me to be their girlfriend, weird, politely I said no. I manage to get another friend (guy), named Mughilan, 25, not highly educated, from Kuala Lumpur. He’s a good guy but a little sensitive. I added him in my MSN list, as usual. We didn’t exchange phone numbers because I didn’t thought of it.
As usual I chat with Vidhyadharan Mudhaliyar, whom I called as Tharan. I asked him a lot of questions, but in return not even a single question he asks about me.
One day, he sms me “hi papa hw r u?” I was amused. Why suddenly he called me like that? I asked him “Why u r calling me like that?”
“Because u r a girl.” He replied.
“Oh…like tat a… so u r a guy, then I shld cal u paiya…” I texted to him.
“No. U cal me mama.” He replied.
From that day onwards, whenever he sms me, he will address me as papa and I will address mama. This went endless. I asked him, “What if I lied to u about myslf?”
“So far you have been good to me. That’s enough.” He answered.
Most of the times, I pist off with him because he sometimes will not reply my sms. I would scold him but just say sorry and will try to call me.

After seven (7) months of friendship, that day I was really out of my mind, usually I’m not. On 18th May 2009…
(SMS)
Me : Hy mama hw r u? hd ur dner? Wat u dng?
Tharan : hy me 5n
Me : Tharan, I wanted to askedu something
Tharan : Wat?
Me : Fuh! I don’t know how to ask. I’m scared.
Tharan : Just ask. Wat wil happen?
Me : Ok. What if I proposed u? What wil be ur
answer? Y/N?
Tharan : I dun noe u before.
Me : U just tel Y?N?
Tharan : I dno u b4
Me : So the answer is no
Tharan : Yes
Me : Yes?!
Tharan : No. The answer is no.
Me : Ok. Thank u.
Tharan : Why you are talking this?
Me : Hehe.. nothing. I’m writing a story so
I wanted to know
a guy’s reaction in the situation.
Tharan : U ah…hehe..
Me : Y u seems to be scared?
Tharan : No la
Than I realised, I shouldn’t have done it. It was so embarrassing. How could I behave so? Do I really love him o just infatuation or maybe because he’s good-looking, most probably.

I sms him as usual, but there was no reply. I thought he must be busy. Next day, again I sms him still no reply. This continued for a four days. I became restless, afraid of losing him. I thought it’s must be because of that message regarding the proposal matter. I as clueless, idealess and my brain stop working. Immediately, I asked my friends pertaining this matter.
Mansi, told me that he is definitely avoiding me. “Avoiding me?” I thought. I can’t bare losing him. This can’t happen. I message him:
It seems that you’re avoiding me. If it’s because of that day, when I sms to u regarding the proposal, I already told u that I was just simply asking. Just to know what would be a guy’s reaction. Well, if u have decided to end our relationship, u should tell it right on my face. I know u dun care a damn thing about what my story is.
I received a reply from him:
Tharan : wei, wait wait y u angry, I was busy da.
Me : busy until u can’t reply my sms? How do u
expect me to be?
Tharan : y nrv cal me, hehe dun angry k.
Me : sms aso no reply will u answer my cal?
Tharna : hehe don’t angry da.
Me :Hmm… you know wat, ur hehe cools me down.
Tharan : sorry da, I busy da tat’s y nrv reply, sorry da.
I was glad that he didn’t avoid me. Now, I am no more confused, clueless or idealess. “But why? I don’t know him before. What if it wasn’t his picture? Why I care so much for the person whom I don’t know before until I mad at him?” I grumbled.
None of my family knows that I was in touch with Tharan. Before this I didn’t care of having a boyfriend. Never develop feelings for anyone. I did like a guy who is studying in same college with me but Tharan is different. Why I care so much? Why I am unable to accept when my friend told me that there are not only one (1) fish in the ocean? Why? Why? Why?
At this point of time I’m determine to go to Johor Bharu and search him after I graduate.

Two (2) years passed. We are still on touch. In these two (2) years I didn’t fall for anyone, or maybe I didn’t get anyone. I decided to buy a hand phone with 3G function in order to make video call to him so that I can see him even though I can’t meet him. From sms we moved to video call. It was often.
A year passed, now I am graduated. I purposely applied job in Johor Bharu. A total strange state for me. I never went there in my lifetime, even for holiday. I went for the interview, don’t know whether I’ll manage to get that job. My interview was a success.
The next day, I went to his house. A girl came out, introduced myself as Tharan’s friend. She didn’t trust me yet let me in. I started to make up story in order to find the truth. I enquired her. “How is Tharan, and his family? Are you his wife?” I begin enquire.
“No, I am not, and my brother not yet married.” She answered.
After sitting for few minutes, I decided to make a move. My time wasn’t good, by the time I stepped out, Tharan stepped in. His sister immediately gets her brother and started to tell about me. I told him who I am and I got a job here.

Today, 20 November 20XX, his birthday. I send to him a gift with a message.

Tharan, today on your birthday, I wanted to open my heart though I know that as a girl I shall not behave like this, but I have to. Tharan I like you and I think that I’m in love with you. I didn’t say that you must love me, I just wanted to tell my feelings for you. Sorry if I have hurt you. If you accepted me, wear this shirt and come to Danga Bay tonight at 8.00 p.m. If you don’t accept me, it does ok but please be present at Danga Bay. I have arranged a dinner for you.

At 8.30 p.m. he arrived, and was totally hurt because he didn’t wear the shirt I presented to him. I was just thinking about going home after I saw him, but since he is here I didn’t. I got down from my car at when I saw moving to his car. “You are already here, don’t you want to attend the dinner?” I asked with a smile on lips and wounded heart.
We sat on the place I booked earlier. During the dinner he remain silent. As usual I had to make the first step.
“You look nice in this shirt.” I complemented. I didn’t ask what happen to the shirt I presented to him, I thought it’s immoral, even hough my heart grumbled, “Did he threw it?”
“Sahaliya…” he started, … I hope you won’t miatake me for no wearing the shirt you’ve presented to me…”
“No, it’s okay.” I interfere abruptly.
“Shh.. I haven’t finish. Sahaliya, all this years we have been chatting, even when we went out spending times together, I didn’t realise whether I do love you. I need sometime.” He added.
I shook my head. We headed to home after the dinner.

Days passed. I was on with my daily routine. I didn’t fine the recover for my wound. We still keep in touch but very seldom. I really missed those days. I tried to forget but I failed.
Soon, my manager told me that they are transferring some of the staff to their new branch in Kuala Lumpur. I grab this opportunity to run away from Tharan and memories of him. Few weeks later, I shifted to Kuala Lumpur, I sms him to tell that I’ve shifted, that was my last message to him.
I’m just twenty-three (23), I still have time and still a lot to learn, to experience. When thinking that I too can love someone, it’s strange, but when the love is one sided it hurt more than physical wound. Well, he must be not lucky to have me, I thought.

A year later, my colleague, Mathan, proposed me. I didn’t know what to say. “If you really love, you go and ask my parents in Ipoh.” I told him, but didn’t mean it.
On weekend I went to Ipoh as usual to visit my parents. I was shocked to see my colleague were there with his family. My mom told me that they are there to propose me. Since I’ve no reason to say no, I accepted.
Our marriage took place a year later. I told him everything about me before our wedding because I don’t want any trouble after we get married. He seems to be don’t care when he said past is past. After the wedding we went to honeymoon.

We return to home after honeymoon. Tharan, wearing the purple colour shirt that I presented to him, which I wish to see him wearing on his birthday dinner at Danga Bay two (2) years back. and his family were sitting in the hall with my parents. I, Mathan and my parents were speechless when we knew that they are here to propose me. They let me to have words with Tharan.
“It took two (2) years for you to realise that you love me? Or you didn’t get anyone to be your wife? I questioned him full with anger.
He remains silent, just like that day in Danga Bay.
“When we keep in touch you didn’t realise whether you love me or not? Now, two (2) years without any contact you realise that you love me? I bursted out. “After this is you love anyone, don’t delay. Just how time can’t wait so do love.” I added.
Then he and his family left.

Kadhal Ullasam
Far from the busy life style in urban city, there is a calm palace which able to give you peacefulness. It is the village. The village where my story is about took place. It is the story of Mr. Thilainath’s family. Mr. Thilainath is considered as one of the VIP in that village. To add the flavour there is a love story of Vasu & Banu.

The village is now filled with happiness. The happiness belonging to Mr. Thilainath’s family. You can even feel the happiness once you stepped on the village ground.
“Hahaha... Whatever, as long as our family be united again by GOD’s grace.” Says Gurunath. Gurunath is Mr. Thilainath’s eldest son.
“Yes brother for quite sometime we have been separated.” Says Premnath. Premnath is Mr. Thilainath’s third son.
Premnath had to live separately with his wife from his father due to his father did not wanted to approved their marriage previously. This was because Premnath’s wife, Anuradha is an orphan, and not equal in status and wealth. Premnath was secretly in love with her, as she aware of it she avoided him and refuses to love him but he would not want to listen.
When Premnath approached his father for approval he declined due to his dignity and status problem. Soon, he started to look for proposals to Premnath. Aware of it, Premnath decided to run away with his Anuradha.
When they returned after their marriage hoping that they would be accepted. They were wrong. They were chased out and cursed instead being blessed. So they left the village and fly to city.
Premnath started a business and a new life together. Their business and life prospered. Soon they were blessed with a child, it’s a boy. They named him Vasudevan. After Vasu was born Premnath become a successful businessman. Together they live happily.

Now, after 24 years, Premnath was consoled by Anuradha to meet his family. All this while Vasu was not exposed about them. Full of mixed feelings they leave to village but they did not bring Vasu together. It is because them self they are not sure about how will they be welcome there. Fate was his side, because his father accepted him.
“Almost 24 years brother,” says Premnath while remembering the past. “Thank GOD, father accepted us.” He added.
“Brother we heard that you have a son” asked Ragunath.
“Yes, Vasu, Vasudevan is his name.” Answered Premnath.
“Oh what he is doing now and where is he?” questioned Ragunath.
“He is in Chennai. He is still studying and aged 24. I did not bring him here because I’m not sure whether we are welcome here. He will be here as soon as his semester break start.” Explained Premnath.
“Banu, Banu!”, called Premnath’s mother Angayammal. She is calling her granddaughter.
“Brother who is Banu?” asked Premnath.
“Oh ya, I forgot to introduce. Banu is our sister Mala’s daughter.” Answered Gurunath.

While Premnath and Anuradha at their village, Vasu in Chennai enjoying himself, not with books (obviously) but with his friends. In village, Thlainath and his other son had decided something but awaiting Premnath’s decision.
They tell him the decision, “Premnath, we have a important matter to talked to you.” Says Thilainath.
“What is it father?”asked Premnath.
“We have decided to marry your son Vasu with Priya. So what you say?” Asked Thilainath.
“Father, about this I must ask my son before making any decision.” Explained Premnath.
“You are seemed to be unhappy regarding this. Your mother is ill and wanted to see her beloved granddaughter’s wedding before she close her eyes. I hope you will be able to fulfil her wish.” Hoped Thilainath.
After having a brief discussion with wife Anuradha about the wedding, she agreed. Then both leave to Chennai to discuss with Vasu regarding this.

Reached Chennai. They did not waste anymore time and straightaway talked about the wedding to Vasu.
“Vasu, actually you do have uncles, aunties and grandparents. All this while we did not tell you about them because we were chased out from there because I married your mother. My parents did not accepted us but now they accepted us. We did not went to outstation but to village. We did not tell you regarding this because we’re afraid that you will be eager to meet them.” Explained Premanath.
Vasu listened patiently.
“Now, they would like to propose you to marry your aunt Mala’s daughter. We all agreed but waiting for your decision. You can take your own time.” Continued Anuradha.
“Mom,mom mom,...(smiled). You liked her right? And you agreed because you believe that she is the right one for me. Mom your choice is the best for me, I’ve no objection.” Said Vasu.
Glad. Anuradha called her in law’s family and informed.

In village Mala was doing the same to her daughter Banu.
“Banu, long time ago my brother married Anuradha and they were chased away by my father. Now they are back.” Starts Mala.
“Mom I already knew about this and why are you telling this to me now?” asked Banu.
“Alright I’ll come straight to the point. Your grandmother wants you to marry my brother’s son Vasu.” Explains Mala.
“What?” Banu was socked. “What is your decision?” questioned Banu.
“We all agreed. She wants to see your wedding before her time arrives.” Tells Mala.
Banu went off without a word. She went to her grandmother’s room. Banu turned the tomb of the door and get a sneak preview before enters.
“Come in dear.” Invites Anggayammal.
“Grandma, my mother told me that...” she stops.
“Yes dear. Before I go, I wanted to see your wedding. Why dear you are seemed to be unhappy.” Asked Anggayammal.
“If you don’t like it you don’t have to agree.” She continues.
“Grandma, I will definitely agree. What you have decided is the best for me.” Banu comforts Anggayammal.

This is the first time Vasu visiting his father’s village. He was quite excited. There, they were waiting to receive Vasu. Vasu was welcomed with warm heart. Vasu successfully attracts them with his look and smartness. The eldest started to talked about the wedding. The young ones were having fun with Vasu’s present.
Vasu and Banu were restricted from seeing each other for cultural purposes.
“Son, Vasu and Banu haven’t met before. I think they should know each other and understand. Nowadays, boys and girls fall in love but our Vasu and Banu doesn’t know each other before. Vasu is a city born boy. I don’t want they to feel that they are force into it eventhough they had agree. I suggest why don’t we engage them first and let them to know each other. Let them to decide when they are ready for the marriage.” Explains Thilainath.
“Father you are the head of the family, your decision is ours too.” Comforts Premnath.
Premnath went and discuss about his father’s decision with Anuradha and Vasu. They did not have any problem so they agreed.
“Vasu, you didn’t ask anything about your future wife. Do you feel that you are force into this wedding? Are you really happy about this engagement?” asks Anuradha.
“Mother, I am definitely happy about this. Your decision is for my own good. That’s why I didn’t ask anything about your future in law or even a photo.” Comforts Vasu.

On the other side Mala also asked the same to Banu. “Banu don’t you want to know about your future husband or even how he look?”
“Why should I? What you have decided is the best for me mother.” She answered.
After two days since his arrival to the village, the most awaited day, The Engagement day has arrived. Everyone were preparing for the grand function. In this two days Vasu and Banu have not meet each other. Vasu arrived. “Hey Vasu you are looking so smart.” Praised his aunt, Radha.
He just smiles at her.
“The girl has arrived, girl has arrived...” suddenly a voice from the crowd shouted. That time Vasu eyes started to search Banu, and so do Banu.
Finally their eyes meet. Like thousands of lightning strikes at the same time, they both were greatly in shock. Vasu still holding the ring to put into her finger.
“Banu...” shocked Vasu.
“Va...” Priya stops.
“Vasu what happen, are you stunned with her beauty?” asks one of his relative.
Vasu quickly put the ring into her finger. Priya did the same. Few hours later the function ends. Vasu immediately calls his friend Saran to inform about his engagement, actually not only about the engagement. Once he informed to Saran, he too was in shock.
Then Vasu went to meet Banu, Banu also was in her way to meet him. They meet.
“You?! I couldn’t imagine that it would be you.” Says Vasu.
“Neither do I, I’m shocked. We were in same college but we doesn’t know that we are relative.” She answered. “While in college we...

In college, Vasu, a handsome, active and dreamboy for most of the girls there. The way he moves around has attracts many ‘flowers’. He is a jovial and a happy-go-lucky person. Nothing and no one bothered him all this while. But that does not last long after he had meet with the tsunami called Banu.
A lots of girls has proposed him but he let his mother to choose his future wife. Furthermore he did not wanted to have any commitments. Banu same year with Vasu but different course. She always reacts opposite compare to other girls including her friend when it is Vasu.
Whenever her friends started to talk about Vasu, definitely she will pull her long face. Everyone in that batch knew about it. Whether it is co-incidence or purposely, no one knows.
In fact, one day Vasu accidently collided with her and did apologize to her but instead of accepting, she did the other way.
“Hey! Can’t you see I’m standing over here? Are you blind?” she yelled.
“No, I didn’t mean to collide with you. I’m sorry. I’m really very sorry.” Apologised innocently Vasu.
“I know you guys purposely wanted to collide with us, right?” again she angered.
“Banu its ok, leave it, he didn’t mean it.” Comfort one of her friend, Madhu.
“Hey! What do you think about yourself? Aishwarya Rai? Cleopatra? It happened accidently, satisfied and I’m sorry. Huh... what a character.” Vasu, loses his temper, and leave the place.
That was how they meet. It did not end just like that.
Vasu, even though from a wealthy background, he will not show off that he is from a rich background. He is a simple guy who appreciates relationship than currency. He prefers to travel by train to college rather than car.

Another incident happened in train. That day Vasu was late to college. He was in a hurry. He rushed to the train and found a place to sit. He had no other place to choose except to sit beside Banu, it is because he entered the girls compartment.
Since he had no choice, he sat beside Banu, very carefully. The girls in that compartment were very happy. They started to chit-chat with Vasu. While talking,Vasu’s hand accidently rubbed Priya’s hand, and she thinks that he did it purposely.
“Stop it!” she yells.
Vasu was totally surprised.
“Words are there but your actions are here?” she adds.
Vasu who did not understand what happened to her tries to ask, “Excuse me miss…”
“You, wanted to say that this is another accident is it? Well, I’m not a fool to believe that.” She slams.
“What’s your problem actually?” he questions. “Do you think that I like you and that’s why I rubbed your hands?” he adds.
“YOU! Are my problem! I don’t have to listen to the stupid explanations from you. Now just shut your mouth, get up and get lost from here.” She argues.
“Excuse me, you don’t own this train. You have no rights to ask me to get up or get lost. If you are thinking that you are pretty and that’s why these accidents happened, please, please, please, I’m begging you. Please change your mindset. Kovai Sarala is much prettier than you. Your face is like just has been pour with sulphuric acid” He slams her.
“Listen I no need to know who is prettier than me. Just get lost from my eye sight.” She warns.

This is what will happen if Vasu and Banu meet. That is why their friends try their level best to keep them apart.
“…and now we are going to be spouses. Oh Lord, what kind of test is this? I’m going to spend the rest of my live with you” sighs Vasu.
“Excuse me, do you think that I love to stay with you, spending my life?” she sighs.
They had a little quarrel but able to manage because they do not want their parents to know about it. Both of them went to bed. They could not sleep. They keep thinking that they had to spend the rest of their life together.
The next day, they woke up late and found no one in that home. Later they understand that it is their family’s plan to both of them to spend time, when one of the servant tells Banu that they were out to temple to perform ritual.
After thinking a while, they compromised. Vasu needs to eat but obviously does not know cooking, while Banu is an expert of it. It took few minutes for her to prepare the foods.
“The food you cooked is delicious, although your face is like has been pour with acid.” He interrupted while Banu was eating.
“Don’t start again.” She warns.
They continue to eat. After having their meal, Vasu wants to walk around the village since this is the first time he has been to village. So he asked Banu to accompany him. She did. While they were sight-seeing, an old lady approached Banu and ask “Banu ma, is this your future husband?”
“Yes.” She nods her head.
“He looks so charming, you’re lucky.” The old lady adds.
Banu shows a cynical smile to him and they continue their journey. Again, Banu was approached. This time it was her childhood friend, Gomathi.
“Hay Banu, is this your would be? He looks so… so…”
“What so, so. He is my future husband” interrupts Banu before Gomathi finish.
Vasu giggles when he watches Banu’s behaviour. They went home. Their family were already at home. When they saw Vasu and Banu together, they were smiling to each other and this creates doubt in Banu. They were happy and it was so clear on their faces.

Vasu and Banu needs to leave to Chennai to complete their studies, since their semester break is soon will be end. After lunch they leave the village, accompanied together were both Vasu’s and Banu’s parents. They arrived at Vasu’s house.
“Amma Banu which college are you studying?” asks Vasu’s father Thilainath.
“V.O.C. mama.” She answers.
“Oh, it will be easier for both of you, Vasu is also studying in that college.” He says.
“Both of you should have meet in college itself, don’t you?” he asks.
“No mama. I’ve never meet him.” She manages to cover up.
“Banu, your grandparents wants you to stay here. They hope by this way you and son in law will understand each other better. If your understanding level is more than high (meaning when they started to get close), make sure no mistake take place.” Mala advices her daughter Banu.
“Please keep in your mind about our family dignity” she adds.
After giving a few pieces of advice their parents leave to village.

Vasu prepares his room for Banu and he stayed in another room. Then Banu cooks for both of them. After the meal they have some rest. Next day, morning, both were getting ready for college.
Banu restricted Vasu from fetching or dropping her and prefers train. Vasu did not mind about it, not only that Banu also warned “Vasu…mm.. Can I call you by name?”she asks.
“Yes of course. I prefer that too.” He answers.
“Now, Listen. We are going to college now. I don’t want you to tell anyone about our engagement. Just be as usual don’t create any doubt in them. Understand?” she warns.
“Alright.” He replies, clearly that he forgot that he had told about the engagement to his friend, Saran.
Both of them leave to college.

Travel by train. In college everything was as normal. Their friend did not have any doubt. As usual Vasu was surrounded by girls, asking him 1001 questions.
Suddenly, a voice catches the glimpse of everyone there “Dei Vasu where have you been?” a girl was running towards him. That girl hugged Vasu and both fell to the ground. She kissed him. It was one of Banu’s friend Chitra.
Banu, who was chit-chatting with her friends along the corridor, also got her attention on them. Angered. She walks towards them. Without wasting any more minute straightaway she slapped Chitra. Chitra was shocked, in fact everyone were in shocked to see Banu behaviour.
“Banu, what’s wrong with you? Why did you slap me?” shocked Chitra.
Banu who is trying to cover up of engagement says “Don’t you have any dignity? You are a girl remember that”
“Before this you never care about my dignity, now what’s gone into you?” asks Chitra.
Banu left the place without a word. Her friends did not satisfy followed and questioned her.
“Banu, what happened to you? Why did you slap her?” they questioned.
“Banu, don’t be silent. Say something.” They demanded.
“Something?” she pretends do not know.
“Something, explanation over your action just now. Don’t pretend Banu.” they urged.
“Alright I’ll tell. Actually, I and Vasu are engaged. We are going to marry soon.” She explained.
“What? Engaged?” they confused.
“Yes.” She added.
“What are you saying? We thought that you hated him?” they seek confirmation.
“Yes but we had to…for the sake of our family.” She confirmed.
They apologised and leave the place.

The incident created a big problem for Vasu, Banu and Chitra. They were suspended for two (2) weeks, for their misbehaviour. After stepping out from the principal’s room, Banu started to burst out “This is all because of YOU!!”
“Me?” he asks.
“Yes, because of you the incident took place and I was suspended.” She added.
“What I did?” he asks.
“Why did you let her to kiss you? You’re supposed to tell her that you are my fiancée.” She added.
“What is this? You told me to not to tell that we’re engaged, but now..”he confused with his fiancée.
Banu kept silent and went off.

Banu was still angry when Vasu brought her for lunch. She did not speak a word to Vasu.
“Alright it’s my entire fault. Now, that we are suspended we have nothing to do. New year is arriving soon so I suggest that we clean this house.” She splutters few minutes they reached home.
Vasu give her a smile.
“What a messy house!” she added.
Even Vasu’s charming smile not enough to lower her temper. They started to clean the house. While cleaning the hanged photo Banu nearly fell down but Vasu manage to prevent her from falling down.
Instead of appreciating him, Banu accused him that he is taking advantage. After letting her down he continues to help her.
Because she was keep nagging him, he left her to do the household work by herself.

Vasu hurried to down stairs. He heard a loud noise. He called out Banu but no sound. He went and search for her the whole house. Finally he found her lying unconsciously on the bathroom floor.
Vasu quickly carried her to their bedroom and calls a doctor. Her clothes were all wet. Vasu changes her clothes. The doctor arrived. Vasu was waiting impatiently to know the result. It was a nail-biting moment for him.
The doctor said that she is alright, nothing to worry. Vasu sighed relief. That night, Vasu waited for Banu to gain conscious. He falls asleep on a chair while waiting.
Once she gain conscious, the next morning, he saw Vasu was sleeping. Deep in her heart, she started to develop feelings for him.
Few minutes later he woke up and saw that Banu is awake. He was happy, but did not show it.
“Faster, get up and take your bath.” He rushed her.
“Why?” she asked.
“We are going to a place.” He answered and leave the room to take his bath.
She started to think about what might have happened last night. Only then she realise that her clothes were not thw same. Vasu came to see whether she has bath or not, and he pushed her to the bathroom. She went in with a lot of questions in her head.
Now both of them were ready to leave. She started her enquiry.
“Why my clothes weren’t the same as last night?” she started.
Vasu keep silent.
“Do you keeping gold in your mouth?” she angered.
“Quick, tell me what had happened yesterday? What you did to my clothes?” she questioned again.
But since Vasu did not give any reaction she started to shout, “Hay! I’m not following if you are not going to answer me.”
“I… I changed your clothes last night, because it were wet.” Finally he speaks.
“Ooo…” she stopped for a few seconds and “What?! You…you changed my clothes? That means you…you…” she socked.
“Yes.” He replies with a word.
“How dare you change my clothes, you did it with whose permission?” she asked him.
He pull he closer to him and said “Listen, I don’t need anyone’s’ permission to change my future wife’s clothes when she is injured.” He said and pulled her to his car.
He opens the front door for her, but she shut it and sits at the back. Then he does something at the car door, both side, and went in the car.

“Hay! Are you going to tell me where we’re going to? She asked, many times.
She begins to lose her temper, “If you are not telling, I’m going to jump off from this car.”
He laughed and said “I knew that you will want to do such thing, that’s why I put the child lock in the car doors.” “You can only go out of this car once I open the door for you.” He added.
She sits angrily. Her face was like a monkey that had eaten ginger (inji thinne kuranggu).
They arrived to the place that Vasu wanted to bring her. He asked Banu to get down. Once she get down and saw the building she was puzzled. It is because that building is a hospital.
“Th…This is a hospital. Why you bring me here?” she asked.
Vasu just went in, Banu just followed. He went to see his family doctor Dr. Ramani. He told Dr. Ramani that Banu has fell down and scared that she might have head injuries. He also told the doctor that another doctor had examined her.
“Even though a doctor have examined her, for my satisfaction I want you to check her again.” He said.
Banu’s developed feelings on him started to increased. Dr. Ramani wrote in a piece of paper and asked Banu to take the following tests.
“Vasu you said that previously a doctor had examined Banu, of course a doctor won’t lie, but why you wanted me to examine her again?” asked Dr. Ramani.
“No doctor, I didn’t said that the doctor lied. As I said, I just want to make sure that she is perfectly alright. I just don’t want what happened to actress Trisha in the movie Manasellam happen to my Banu. I can’t imagine my life without her.” He answered.
“Mm… I understand, you love her so much.” Says the doctor.

After go through Banu report, the doctor tells the result. “She is perfectly alright Vasu.” “Banu you are quite lucky to have him as your husband.” The doctor added.
Banu reply with a smile.
Then, they thanked Dr. Ramani and walked to his car. He opened the back door for her, she closed it refused to sit at back. She opens the front door. Vasu was quite surprise but did not ask her anything.
Vasu start driving. Banu leaned her head on his shoulder. Vasu smiles. Both kept silent. They stopped to have their lunch, still not a word exchanged, even though both are very happy.
They did not go home straightaway after lunch. Vasu keep driving and Banu did not question him on where he is heading to. Finally, he stops his car at an open garden like place. He sits on a log, she too.
“I…I overheard your conversation with Dr. Ramani.” Says Banu, softly.
“Hmm… I thought so.” He replies.
“But, I thought that…” before she finishes her line Vasu was thrown to the front. His head covers with blood as he hit a rock.
“Don’t worry Banu, I’ll finish off this guy and we’ll live a happy life together.” Here comes the villain, Mahesh.
Mahesh Ramamoorthy was deeply in love with Banu since in college, but he did not approach her in anyway. He thought that he had no competitors to approach Banu after he realise that Banu did not like Vasu since they were quarrelling all the time they met.
Things went upside down after Mahesh learnt that Vasu and Banu engaged, and it is because of their family. Once he returned from foreign he went look for Vasu, and now he has meet him and also bit him.
“I know Banu that you always hate this #$%@* guy.” Mahesh shouted like a freak.
Vasu still lay unconsciously. Mahesh with his bunch of people started to beat Vasu. Banu tries to stop Mahesh but it failed. Banu covers Vasu with herself and shouted “Stop it Mahesh, I said stop it!” “I love Vasu,all my heart and soul belongs to him. Now you just get lost from here!” She yelled.
“But Banu…” Mahesh stops
“Just go away Mahesh!” she cried while hugging Vasu.
Mahesh leave them, now it is only Vasu and Banu.

“Vasu, it’s all because of me. Please Vasu don’t leave me. I love you so much.” Cried Banu (sitting at his bed side)
Vasu stayed unconsciously for two (2) days. The next day, Banu enter in the ward room and cried “Vasu, do you know something? I’ve fallen in love. Even during college I didn’t hate you. It’s just that… you know all the girls always around you. So I don’t want you to think that I’m as them. Later my feelings change towards you. I had to deny myself, because we don’t know what may happen in future. Do you know? During the engagement I was so happy. Yes I’ve fallen in love with you. I can’t even imagine a life without you.” She expressed herself without realising that Vasu has already awake.
Not only expressing with words but also with action. She kissed him, but she felt unusual. Again she kissed him, again she felt unusual. She did not really investigate what was the unusual thing was.
When she was about to leave, Vasu holds her hand with a smile and said “Thank you.”
She turned to him and curiously asked “Thank you?” “You… you are awake?” she asked.
“Yes, I am.” He answered.
Banu was about to call the doctor but Vasu stopped her. “Banu, there is no need to call the doctor as he had examined me.”
“What?! The doctor has examined you? Wait am minute. You have heard everything I said just now. Don’t you? She asked.
“Yes, including your honey like sweet kiss.” He added.
“So you really kissed me back, weren’t you? She asked curiously about the unusual thing she felt.
He just smile at her. Before they further their conversation, the doctor enters in. “You are allowed to go home if there aren’t any complications. Your right hand has fracture and head injury is not to be worry.” Then the doctor went out.
“Banu, actually I also like you during college, but your reaction doesn’t allow me to take any further steps to know you.” He expresses himself.

Vasu has been discharged. Their friends pay him a visit.
“Vasu, what happened?” asks one of his friend Vedham.
“Oh, it were Mahesh and his gang beat me few days back.” He answered.
“What?! Mahesh?! Why he did this?” asks Banu’s friend Malar.
“He says that he loves me and now that I’m engaged to Vasu, he thought that it’s fully forced by our family.” Answers Banu.
“That’s one more I wanted to ask. How you both ended up in engagement? In college you both were like dog and cat. Can’t stand looking at each other’s face. But now have to stay together for the rest of your life.” Asks another friend of them, Ashok.
“Smile. Actually our engagement has been decided by our family. She is my relative. At first I didn’t know that it was her. I was quite shocked, but then it ended up well. Now we love each other.” Explained Vasu, holding Banu’s hand.
Banu smile.
“Ok,ok, now that everything settled, we wanted you to give us a bachelor party.” Asks Vedham.
“Hahaha…(Laugh), Hay that’s all supposed to have before wedding not after engagement.” Laughed Vasu.
“Oh, Sorry, Whatever it is we need to celebrate your engagement.” he ordered to Vasu.
“No,no,no, we can’t let him to arrange the party, he’ll give a bunch of excuses. Plus his condition like this. We will arrange the party and your job is to come together with your future wife.” Says Ashok.

Two (2) weeks later Vasu went to hospital, to examine him. He and Banu went to college as usual. They pay more focus on their studies since they only left few months to graduate, if they pass the exams. The examination day arrived. They did their best.
Now they are in their semester break, waiting for results. Now, both Vasu’s and Banu’s friends start to plan on the party. They planned to have it in hotel. They arranged quite a grand party.
On the way, Banu lean on Vasu, advised him not to consume alcohol too much in that party. He just smile and nodded. They arrived to the hotel.
Everyone who attended the party, were stunned by Banu. The party only started after the arriving of the couple. Just because Banu has advised him, he almost did not want to touch alcohol contained drinks. His friends keep on pursuing him to have a gulp. After seeking permission from his sweetheart he has it.
After looking at his drastic change, his friend started to tease him. Banu did not speak a word about it. Her eyes were just guarding Vasu. They started to dance. Some of their friends dance movements were hilarious, but who cares, after all they all were here to celebrate Vasu and Banu and to have fun.
The intimate between Vasu and Banu caught everyone’s attention.
“They are made for each other.” Whispered their friends among them.

It was late night, Vasu and Banu make a move from the party. They thank their friends for arranging such party. It was heavily raining. On the way, suddenly Vasu’s car breaks down. He tried to call his friends but there were no coverage.
Vasu can’t just sit in the car. He needs to finds a way. So he gets down from the car although Banu stopped him. After walking for sometime, he came back to his car.
“I saw a house there. We can request to stay there from the house owner.” He suggested to Banu.
Banu just agree with him. Both ran towards the house. Vasu shouted to call the house owner but no answer. He tried to open the door, it was locked. He broke the window and went in the house.
Suddenly it turns blackout, maybe caused by the huge storm. Banu who got scared holds Vasu’s hands, just follow wherever his leg moves. He was on a quest to find a room which has ‘dry clothes’ as theirs were totally wet, using his mobile phone light.
They went into a room, which they believe might have some clothes. They were right. That room was quite a big and beautiful. While they were changing their clothes, suddenly a lightening strikes. Vasu saw something in that six (6) feet tall mirror.
He goes nearer, nearer and nearer, again both lightening and storm strike. He stopped there. Banu who was afraid, close her ears and turned. The time she turned she felt someone standing in front of her. She felt a heavy breathing, again the storm strike, she got startle. Then, she realised that it was Vasu. That night they both were drifted away, in each others hugs.

The sun shines on Vasu’s face who is having a good deep sleep. He opens his eyes. Looking at Banu, who by that time woke earlier than Vasu and was sitting on a chair, watching Vasu, who had received some scratches on his body and lipstick marks.
Vasu greet her with a smile. She replied with throwing stuffs (as clothes, table lamp, and etc) to him.
“It’s all because of you! How if we don’t ended up with marriage? Our parents already warned us.” She shouted and cries.
“Banu calm down. If you happen to be pregnant, I’ll be responsible. Even if we don’t ended up with marriage, I’ll still marry you even though I had to do it without our parents blessings, my dear wife.” He comforts her.
They both get ready to leave the house. At the time they were about to leave the house, the house owner came. They were quite lucky as the house owner did not call the police. The house owner just listens to Vasu’s explanations. The house owner also helps Vasu to get a mechanic to repair his car.
From now on, both of them understand well each other. They are just like normal married couple. They sleep in same bed, but nothing happens. Banu does her routine as a normal house wife.

It was early morning. The door bell of Vasu’s house rang. Banu from the kitchen thought who it would be at this time. She went and open the door, to her great shock, it was Vasu’s mom and dad. She welcomes them.
“How are you?” asks her both parents in law.
“I’m fine aunty, uncle.” She answer. “What is the matter, until you both are here without informing?” she added
“We had an urgent work here, that’s why couldn’t inform you both.” Explain her future father in law.
“Where is Vasu?” asks her future mother in law.
“Oh, Vasu is sleeping, aunty” she answer and went to kitchen to make coffee.
On the other hand, Vasu who did not know about his parents arriving shouted for Banu, when his bed coffee was not there. Thilainath and Anuradha were shocked to see Vasu drinking bed coffee. As far as they know Vasu does not practice that habit. Then they looked at Banu. They just smile.
He gets down, as he lost his patient waiting for Banu. Once he got down, straightaway he hugged Banu and present her few kissed.
“Why didn’t bring my bed-coffee my dear wife?” he asked.
“Parents.” She whispered.
“Parents?” he puzzled.
Premnath and Anuradha were just watching their sons’ behaviour.
“Your parents.” Banu raised her voice.
“My parents?! Where?” he asked and looks around, he was blush away when he saw them. He went upstairs with his head down.
Both Premnath and Anuradha are glad that both Vasu and Banu do not felt that they are force. They realize that Vasu and Banu understand and love each other more than they thought.

“Hi mom, dad.” He greets his parents with no guts to face them.
They replied him with a smile.
“Vasu, Banu we are here it’s because your grandma in village is not feeling well. She is getting worst.” Anuradha told them telling the purpose if their visit. “Your grandma wanted to see your wedding as soon as possible.” Ashe added.
“What? Grandma is ill?” cried Banu.
Premnath and Anuradha could understand Banu’s feelings as she is her grandma’s pet. Banu could not resist her feelings, she went to her bedroom and cried. Vasu who could not resist tears from Banu’s eye, tailed her and coax her.
Two and a half (2 ½ ) months the preparation for the wedding took place. It was like a festival for the whole village. Soon after that the wedding took place. It was a big ceremony. All their relatives and friends came and wished them.
Soon the most awaited moment has arrived. The First Night. The very typical concept of this first night is that the couple will have sexual intercourse but it is not exactly like that. Actually it is depends to the couple on how to spend the night.
The ladies in the house prepare Banu. She is to be send to in a decorated room where Vasu is waiting for her. She was sent with a glass of milk. Once she entered the room, they were looking at each other. Vasu smile at her. She put the milk on the table and prostrate on Vasu’s feet to gain blessings. Vasu invited her to sit on the bed.
“Eh what’s that?” he asked to Banu.
Banu was surprise and go to the mirror to see what’s wrong. “What?” she asked.
Then Vasu hugged her from the back and showed to her what he meant. “You are blushing. First time I’m seeing you shy.” “Do you realise that this is our second first night. Even that time your face did not show this shyness.” He added.
“Shh… don’t say that loudly. You also wasn’t this descent that time.” She tittered.

Next morning, Banu woke up earlier than the others in the house to take bath and pretended that nothing happened between them last night. When the people in tha house woke up and see Banu, they were surprise.
Anuradha handed over a cup of coffee to Banu and asked her to give to Vasu before he shouts for bed-coffee. She goes in to the room, but Vasu was not on the bed. She go in further. Suddenly hands rolled over Banu’s hip and kisses perched on her cheeks. It was Vasu from back of the room door. Vasu had to leave Banu as someone knocks the door.
“Breakfast is ready, mom calling you both.” Tells Banu’s sister Hema.
After having their breakfast, they were getting ready to go home. Vasu and Banu had to leave because their semester break is going to end. While Premnath and Anuradha leave because they wanted to do preparation, so that Vasu can take over their family business.
Vasu and Banu live in the previous house they lived so do Premnath and Anuradha. Their life’s went on as usual, after all they had been living like a husband and wife before their wedding took place.
There were some little changes in Vasu. Now, he is quite diligent enough to help Banu in household work. He also develops a new routine, which is to hug and kiss Banu when he woke up, whenever he goes out and whenever he returns home.
As expected both excel in their studies, as expected. They received guest. It were both Vasu’s and Banu’s parents. They are here to fulfil tradition needs. The bride’s parents must invite the bridegroom and cook for them, including performing rituals. They told Vasu that the third (3rd) day from today is a good day so you both are invited on that day.

Vasu and Banu accompanied by Premnath and Anuradha went to their village. Vasu and Banu were treated as if they are the Prince and Princess. Since Banu is newlywed, her sister Hema was asking a lot of questions to Banu.
“Eh, How your husband? Is he treating you well?” asks Hema.
Banu who does not want her sister what had actually happen said, “We are just newlywed, I don’t know him before, then what do you expect more.”
“Don’t know him? Impossible. You both were allowed to stay in a house before marriage and you said you don’t know him?” “So did ‘it’ happened?” she added.
Banu who understand her sister’s meaning just went off angrily. Banu straightaway finds Vasu who was at the rooftop.
“Vasu, what are you doing here?” she asked.
“Looking at my wife’s hometown scenery.” He answered and put his hand around her waist.
Then she lean on him and say “Vasu, my sister is asking me a lot of questions. I don’t want her to know what happened between us. You know we must pretend as if this is a fully arranged marriage.”
He just nods. Banu quickly went and hide herself after she heard her sister Hema’s voice. Hema invite Vasu for lunch. While all the men of the family are having lunch, the women will have to serve them, Banu is not an exception.
While she was serving, her saree move up and down according to her movements. This revealed something that her sister should not see but it was too late as Banu was not aware of it.
“Banu, why you patch plaster?” asked Hema.
Vasu who was drinking water, spit it out.
“It’s mosquito bite, that’s why.” She answered and pinched Vasu who was smiling.
Hema who were not satisfied continue questioning Banu, “Banu do you have any problems with Vasu? You seem to be unhappy.”
“No! We don’t have any problem, I’m fine. You don’t think so much.” She answered abruptly.
Due to the successful reunion and their wedding all of them went to their ‘Kulatheivam Kovil’ to perform vows. On the way, Banu fall asleep and leaned on Vasu’s hand and he takes care of her. At that time, Hema knew that her sister had lied to her.
It was at temple where all the family members got to know that they love themselves. When the priest gives ‘Kungkumam’ , Banu received it but Vasu who put it in her forehead.
Even then Hema did ask Banu about their comfortable with each other, Banu denied saying that they just married and Vasu fix the rules to put ‘Kungkumam’ on her forehead.

“I am responsible for her pregnant. We have been together before marriage.” he confessed.
They smile shyly.
Few weeks later Hema visited Banu and she was quite shock to see her sister in that attire. Banu was just wearing a singlet and tiny shorts. Not only that, Banu and Vasu were running all over the house without realising that the door is open.
Hema called Banu. Both were in shocked. Hema asks the Banu to tell everything as their family really concern about both of them. Banu had no other choice than tell her tale. As usual then everything ended up well and they lived happily.

Immediately, the ladies went in with Vasu. They were so confused. Vasu sit beside her and hug her. Banu was worried too.
“Oh my God Banu, what happened? How is it possible for you to be pregnant this early? Who is responsible?” asked her mother.
“Vasu, what is this? Why you are seems to be very happy?” asked Anuradha.
Then only Vasu realise. He tried to calm his mother but he couldn’t. he had to tell the truth.
“I am responsible for her pregnant. We have been together before marriage.” he confessed.
They smile shyly.

Few weeks later Hema visited Banu and she was quite shock to see her sister in that attire. Banu was just wearing a singlet and tiny shorts. Not only that, Banu and Vasu were running all over the house without realising that the door is open.
Hema called Banu. Both were in shocked. Hema asks the Banu to tell everything as their family really concern about both of them. Banu had no other choice than tell her tale. As usual then everything ended up well and they lived happily

The village is now filled with happiness. The happiness belonging to Mr. Thilainath’s family. You can even feel the happiness once you stepped on the village ground.
“Hahaha... Whatever, as long as our family be united again by GOD’s grace.” Says Gurunath. Gurunath is Mr. Thilainath’s eldest son.
“Yes brother for quite sometime we have been separated.” Says Premnath. Premnath is Mr. Thilainath’s third son.
Premnath had to live separately with his wife from his father due to his father did not wanted to approved their marriage previously. This was because Premnath’s wife, Anuradha is an orphan, and not equal in status and wealth. Premnath was secretly in love with her, as she aware of it she avoided him and refuses to love him but he would not want to listen.
When Premnath approached his father for approval he declined due to his dignity and status problem. Soon, he started to look for proposals to Premnath. Aware of it, Premnath decided to run away with his Anuradha.
When they returned after their marriage hoping that they would be accepted. They were wrong. They were chased out and cursed instead being blessed. So they left the village and fly to city.
Premnath started a business and a new life together. Their business and life prospered. Soon they were blessed with a child, it’s a boy. They named him Vasudevan. After Vasu was born Premnath become a successful businessman. Together they live happily.

Now, after 24 years, Premnath was consoled by Anuradha to meet his family. All this while Vasu was not exposed about them. Full of mixed feelings they leave to village but they did not bring Vasu together. It is because them self they are not sure about how will they be welcome there. Fate was his side, because his father accepted him.
“Almost 24 years brother,” says Premnath while remembering the past. “Thank GOD, father accepted us.” He added.
“Brother we heard that you have a son” asked Ragunath.
“Yes, Vasu, Vasudevan is his name.” Answered Premnath.
“Oh what he is doing now and where is he?” questioned Ragunath.
“He is in Chennai. He is still studying and aged 24. I did not bring him here because I’m not sure whether we are welcome here. He will be here as soon as his semester break start.” Explained Premnath.
“Banu, Banu!”, called Premnath’s mother Angayammal. She is calling her granddaughter.
“Brother who is Banu?” asked Premnath.
“Oh ya, I forgot to introduce. Banu is our sister Mala’s daughter.” Answered Gurunath.

While Premnath and Anuradha at their village, Vasu in Chennai enjoying himself, not with books (obviously) but with his friends. In village, Thlainath and his other son had decided something but awaiting Premnath’s decision.
They tell him the decision, “Premnath, we have a important matter to talked to you.” Says Thilainath.
“What is it father?”asked Premnath.
“We have decided to marry your son Vasu with Priya. So what you say?” Asked Thilainath.
“Father, about this I must ask my son before making any decision.” Explained Premnath.
“You are seemed to be unhappy regarding this. Your mother is ill and wanted to see her beloved granddaughter’s wedding before she close her eyes. I hope you will be able to fulfil her wish.” Hoped Thilainath.
After having a brief discussion with wife Anuradha about the wedding, she agreed. Then both leave to Chennai to discuss with Vasu regarding this.

Reached Chennai. They did not waste anymore time and straightaway talked about the wedding to Vasu.
“Vasu, actually you do have uncles, aunties and grandparents. All this while we did not tell you about them because we were chased out from there because I married your mother. My parents did not accepted us but now they accepted us. We did not went to outstation but to village. We did not tell you regarding this because we’re afraid that you will be eager to meet them.” Explained Premanath.
Vasu listened patiently.
“Now, they would like to propose you to marry your aunt Mala’s daughter. We all agreed but waiting for your decision. You can take your own time.” Continued Anuradha.
“Mom,mom mom,...(smiled). You liked her right? And you agreed because you believe that she is the right one for me. Mom your choice is the best for me, I’ve no objection.” Said Vasu.
Glad. Anuradha called her in law’s family and informed.

In village Mala was doing the same to her daughter Banu.
“Banu, long time ago my brother married Anuradha and they were chased away by my father. Now they are back.” Starts Mala.
“Mom I already knew about this and why are you telling this to me now?” asked Banu.
“Alright I’ll come straight to the point. Your grandmother wants you to marry my brother’s son Vasu.” Explains Mala.
“What?” Banu was socked. “What is your decision?” questioned Banu.
“We all agreed. She wants to see your wedding before her time arrives.” Tells Mala.
Banu went off without a word. She went to her grandmother’s room. Banu turned the tomb of the door and get a sneak preview before enters.
“Come in dear.” Invites Anggayammal.
“Grandma, my mother told me that...” she stops.
“Yes dear. Before I go, I wanted to see your wedding. Why dear you are seemed to be unhappy.” Asked Anggayammal.
“If you don’t like it you don’t have to agree.” She continues.
“Grandma, I will definitely agree. What you have decided is the best for me.” Banu comforts Anggayammal.

This is the first time Vasu visiting his father’s village. He was quite excited. There, they were waiting to receive Vasu. Vasu was welcomed with warm heart. Vasu successfully attracts them with his look and smartness. The eldest started to talked about the wedding. The young ones were having fun with Vasu’s present.
Vasu and Banu were restricted from seeing each other for cultural purposes.
“Son, Vasu and Banu haven’t met before. I think they should know each other and understand. Nowadays, boys and girls fall in love but our Vasu and Banu doesn’t know each other before. Vasu is a city born boy. I don’t want they to feel that they are force into it eventhough they had agree. I suggest why don’t we engage them first and let them to know each other. Let them to decide when they are ready for the marriage.” Explains Thilainath.
“Father you are the head of the family, your decision is ours too.” Comforts Premnath.
Premnath went and discuss about his father’s decision with Anuradha and Vasu. They did not have any problem so they agreed.
“Vasu, you didn’t ask anything about your future wife. Do you feel that you are force into this wedding? Are you really happy about this engagement?” asks Anuradha.
“Mother, I am definitely happy about this. Your decision is for my own good. That’s why I didn’t ask anything about your future in law or even a photo.” Comforts Vasu.

On the other side Mala also asked the same to Banu. “Banu don’t you want to know about your future husband or even how he look?”
“Why should I? What you have decided is the best for me mother.” She answered.
After two days since his arrival to the village, the most awaited day, The Engagement day has arrived. Everyone were preparing for the grand function. In this two days Vasu and Banu have not meet each other. Vasu arrived. “Hey Vasu you are looking so smart.” Praised his aunt, Radha.
He just smiles at her.
“The girl has arrived, girl has arrived...” suddenly a voice from the crowd shouted. That time Vasu eyes started to search Banu, and so do Banu.
Finally their eyes meet. Like thousands of lightning strikes at the same time, they both were greatly in shock. Vasu still holding the ring to put into her finger.
“Banu...” shocked Vasu.
“Va...” Priya stops.
“Vasu what happen, are you stunned with her beauty?” asks one of his relative.
Vasu quickly put the ring into her finger. Priya did the same. Few hours later the function ends. Vasu immediately calls his friend Saran to inform about his engagement, actually not only about the engagement. Once he informed to Saran, he too was in shock.
Then Vasu went to meet Banu, Banu also was in her way to meet him. They meet.
“You?! I couldn’t imagine that it would be you.” Says Vasu.
“Neither do I, I’m shocked. We were in same college but we doesn’t know that we are relative.” She answered. “While in college we...

In college, Vasu, a handsome, active and dreamboy for most of the girls there. The way he moves around has attracts many ‘flowers’. He is a jovial and a happy-go-lucky person. Nothing and no one bothered him all this while. But that does not last long after he had meet with the tsunami called Banu.
A lots of girls has proposed him but he let his mother to choose his future wife. Furthermore he did not wanted to have any commitments. Banu same year with Vasu but different course. She always reacts opposite compare to other girls including her friend when it is Vasu.
Whenever her friends started to talk about Vasu, definitely she will pull her long face. Everyone in that batch knew about it. Whether it is co-incidence or purposely, no one knows.
In fact, one day Vasu accidently collided with her and did apologize to her but instead of accepting, she did the other way.
“Hey! Can’t you see I’m standing over here? Are you blind?” she yelled.
“No, I didn’t mean to collide with you. I’m sorry. I’m really very sorry.” Apologised innocently Vasu.
“I know you guys purposely wanted to collide with us, right?” again she angered.
“Banu its ok, leave it, he didn’t mean it.” Comfort one of her friend, Madhu.
“Hey! What do you think about yourself? Aishwarya Rai? Cleopatra? It happened accidently, satisfied and I’m sorry. Huh... what a character.” Vasu, loses his temper, and leave the place.
That was how they meet. It did not end just like that.
Vasu, even though from a wealthy background, he will not show off that he is from a rich background. He is a simple guy who appreciates relationship than currency. He prefers to travel by train to college rather than car.

Another incident happened in train. That day Vasu was late to college. He was in a hurry. He rushed to the train and found a place to sit. He had no other place to choose except to sit beside Banu, it is because he entered the girls compartment.
Since he had no choice, he sat beside Banu, very carefully. The girls in that compartment were very happy. They started to chit-chat with Vasu. While talking,Vasu’s hand accidently rubbed Priya’s hand, and she thinks that he did it purposely.
“Stop it!” she yells.
Vasu was totally surprised.
“Words are there but your actions are here?” she adds.
Vasu who did not understand what happened to her tries to ask, “Excuse me miss…”
“You, wanted to say that this is another accident is it? Well, I’m not a fool to believe that.” She slams.
“What’s your problem actually?” he questions. “Do you think that I like you and that’s why I rubbed your hands?” he adds.
“YOU! Are my problem! I don’t have to listen to the stupid explanations from you. Now just shut your mouth, get up and get lost from here.” She argues.
“Excuse me, you don’t own this train. You have no rights to ask me to get up or get lost. If you are thinking that you are pretty and that’s why these accidents happened, please, please, please, I’m begging you. Please change your mindset. Kovai Sarala is much prettier than you. Your face is like just has been pour with sulphuric acid” He slams her.
“Listen I no need to know who is prettier than me. Just get lost from my eye sight.” She warns.

This is what will happen if Vasu and Banu meet. That is why their friends try their level best to keep them apart.
“…and now we are going to be spouses. Oh Lord, what kind of test is this? I’m going to spend the rest of my live with you” sighs Vasu.
“Excuse me, do you think that I love to stay with you, spending my life?” she sighs.
They had a little quarrel but able to manage because they do not want their parents to know about it. Both of them went to bed. They could not sleep. They keep thinking that they had to spend the rest of their life together.
The next day, they woke up late and found no one in that home. Later they understand that it is their family’s plan to both of them to spend time, when one of the servant tells Banu that they were out to temple to perform ritual.
After thinking a while, they compromised. Vasu needs to eat but obviously does not know cooking, while Banu is an expert of it. It took few minutes for her to prepare the foods.
“The food you cooked is delicious, although your face is like has been pour with acid.” He interrupted while Banu was eating.
“Don’t start again.” She warns.
They continue to eat. After having their meal, Vasu wants to walk around the village since this is the first time he has been to village. So he asked Banu to accompany him. She did. While they were sight-seeing, an old lady approached Banu and ask “Banu ma, is this your future husband?”
“Yes.” She nods her head.
“He looks so charming, you’re lucky.” The old lady adds.
Banu shows a cynical smile to him and they continue their journey. Again, Banu was approached. This time it was her childhood friend, Gomathi.
“Hay Banu, is this your would be? He looks so… so…”
“What so, so. He is my future husband” interrupts Banu before Gomathi finish.
Vasu giggles when he watches Banu’s behaviour. They went home. Their family were already at home. When they saw Vasu and Banu together, they were smiling to each other and this creates doubt in Banu. They were happy and it was so clear on their faces.

Vasu and Banu needs to leave to Chennai to complete their studies, since their semester break is soon will be end. After lunch they leave the village, accompanied together were both Vasu’s and Banu’s parents. They arrived at Vasu’s house.
“Amma Banu which college are you studying?” asks Vasu’s father Thilainath.
“V.O.C. mama.” She answers.
“Oh, it will be easier for both of you, Vasu is also studying in that college.” He says.
“Both of you should have meet in college itself, don’t you?” he asks.
“No mama. I’ve never meet him.” She manages to cover up.
“Banu, your grandparents wants you to stay here. They hope by this way you and son in law will understand each other better. If your understanding level is more than high (meaning when they started to get close), make sure no mistake take place.” Mala advices her daughter Banu.
“Please keep in your mind about our family dignity” she adds.
After giving a few pieces of advice their parents leave to village.

Vasu prepares his room for Banu and he stayed in another room. Then Banu cooks for both of them. After the meal they have some rest. Next day, morning, both were getting ready for college.
Banu restricted Vasu from fetching or dropping her and prefers train. Vasu did not mind about it, not only that Banu also warned “Vasu…mm.. Can I call you by name?”she asks.
“Yes of course. I prefer that too.” He answers.
“Now, Listen. We are going to college now. I don’t want you to tell anyone about our engagement. Just be as usual don’t create any doubt in them. Understand?” she warns.
“Alright.” He replies, clearly that he forgot that he had told about the engagement to his friend, Saran.
Both of them leave to college.

Travel by train. In college everything was as normal. Their friend did not have any doubt. As usual Vasu was surrounded by girls, asking him 1001 questions.
Suddenly, a voice catches the glimpse of everyone there “Dei Vasu where have you been?” a girl was running towards him. That girl hugged Vasu and both fell to the ground. She kissed him. It was one of Banu’s friend Chitra.
Banu, who was chit-chatting with her friends along the corridor, also got her attention on them. Angered. She walks towards them. Without wasting any more minute straightaway she slapped Chitra. Chitra was shocked, in fact everyone were in shocked to see Banu behaviour.
“Banu, what’s wrong with you? Why did you slap me?” shocked Chitra.
Banu who is trying to cover up of engagement says “Don’t you have any dignity? You are a girl remember that”
“Before this you never care about my dignity, now what’s gone into you?” asks Chitra.
Banu left the place without a word. Her friends did not satisfy followed and questioned her.
“Banu, what happened to you? Why did you slap her?” they questioned.
“Banu, don’t be silent. Say something.” They demanded.
“Something?” she pretends do not know.
“Something, explanation over your action just now. Don’t pretend Banu.” they urged.
“Alright I’ll tell. Actually, I and Vasu are engaged. We are going to marry soon.” She explained.
“What? Engaged?” they confused.
“Yes.” She added.
“What are you saying? We thought that you hated him?” they seek confirmation.
“Yes but we had to…for the sake of our family.” She confirmed.
They apologised and leave the place.

The incident created a big problem for Vasu, Banu and Chitra. They were suspended for two (2) weeks, for their misbehaviour. After stepping out from the principal’s room, Banu started to burst out “This is all because of YOU!!”
“Me?” he asks.
“Yes, because of you the incident took place and I was suspended.” She added.
“What I did?” he asks.
“Why did you let her to kiss you? You’re supposed to tell her that you are my fiancée.” She added.
“What is this? You told me to not to tell that we’re engaged, but now..”he confused with his fiancée.
Banu kept silent and went off.

Banu was still angry when Vasu brought her for lunch. She did not speak a word to Vasu.
“Alright it’s my entire fault. Now, that we are suspended we have nothing to do. New year is arriving soon so I suggest that we clean this house.” She splutters few minutes they reached home.
Vasu give her a smile.
“What a messy house!” she added.
Even Vasu’s charming smile not enough to lower her temper. They started to clean the house. While cleaning the hanged photo Banu nearly fell down but Vasu manage to prevent her from falling down.
Instead of appreciating him, Banu accused him that he is taking advantage. After letting her down he continues to help her.
Because she was keep nagging him, he left her to do the household work by herself.

Vasu hurried to down stairs. He heard a loud noise. He called out Banu but no sound. He went and search for her the whole house. Finally he found her lying unconsciously on the bathroom floor.
Vasu quickly carried her to their bedroom and calls a doctor. Her clothes were all wet. Vasu changes her clothes. The doctor arrived. Vasu was waiting impatiently to know the result. It was a nail-biting moment for him.
The doctor said that she is alright, nothing to worry. Vasu sighed relief. That night, Vasu waited for Banu to gain conscious. He falls asleep on a chair while waiting.
Once she gain conscious, the next morning, he saw Vasu was sleeping. Deep in her heart, she started to develop feelings for him.
Few minutes later he woke up and saw that Banu is awake. He was happy, but did not show it.
“Faster, get up and take your bath.” He rushed her.
“Why?” she asked.
“We are going to a place.” He answered and leave the room to take his bath.
She started to think about what might have happened last night. Only then she realise that her clothes were not thw same. Vasu came to see whether she has bath or not, and he pushed her to the bathroom. She went in with a lot of questions in her head.
Now both of them were ready to leave. She started her enquiry.
“Why my clothes weren’t the same as last night?” she started.
Vasu keep silent.
“Do you keeping gold in your mouth?” she angered.
“Quick, tell me what had happened yesterday? What you did to my clothes?” she questioned again.
But since Vasu did not give any reaction she started to shout, “Hay! I’m not following if you are not going to answer me.”
“I… I changed your clothes last night, because it were wet.” Finally he speaks.
“Ooo…” she stopped for a few seconds and “What?! You…you changed my clothes? That means you…you…” she socked.
“Yes.” He replies with a word.
“How dare you change my clothes, you did it with whose permission?” she asked him.
He pull he closer to him and said “Listen, I don’t need anyone’s’ permission to change my future wife’s clothes when she is injured.” He said and pulled her to his car.
He opens the front door for her, but she shut it and sits at the back. Then he does something at the car door, both side, and went in the car.

“Hay! Are you going to tell me where we’re going to? She asked, many times.
She begins to lose her temper, “If you are not telling, I’m going to jump off from this car.”
He laughed and said “I knew that you will want to do such thing, that’s why I put the child lock in the car doors.” “You can only go out of this car once I open the door for you.” He added.
She sits angrily. Her face was like a monkey that had eaten ginger (inji thinne kuranggu).
They arrived to the place that Vasu wanted to bring her. He asked Banu to get down. Once she get down and saw the building she was puzzled. It is because that building is a hospital.
“Th…This is a hospital. Why you bring me here?” she asked.
Vasu just went in, Banu just followed. He went to see his family doctor Dr. Ramani. He told Dr. Ramani that Banu has fell down and scared that she might have head injuries. He also told the doctor that another doctor had examined her.
“Even though a doctor have examined her, for my satisfaction I want you to check her again.” He said.
Banu’s developed feelings on him started to increased. Dr. Ramani wrote in a piece of paper and asked Banu to take the following tests.
“Vasu you said that previously a doctor had examined Banu, of course a doctor won’t lie, but why you wanted me to examine her again?” asked Dr. Ramani.
“No doctor, I didn’t said that the doctor lied. As I said, I just want to make sure that she is perfectly alright. I just don’t want what happened to actress Trisha in the movie Manasellam happen to my Banu. I can’t imagine my life without her.” He answered.
“Mm… I understand, you love her so much.” Says the doctor.

After go through Banu report, the doctor tells the result. “She is perfectly alright Vasu.” “Banu you are quite lucky to have him as your husband.” The doctor added.
Banu reply with a smile.
Then, they thanked Dr. Ramani and walked to his car. He opened the back door for her, she closed it refused to sit at back. She opens the front door. Vasu was quite surprise but did not ask her anything.
Vasu start driving. Banu leaned her head on his shoulder. Vasu smiles. Both kept silent. They stopped to have their lunch, still not a word exchanged, even though both are very happy.
They did not go home straightaway after lunch. Vasu keep driving and Banu did not question him on where he is heading to. Finally, he stops his car at an open garden like place. He sits on a log, she too.
“I…I overheard your conversation with Dr. Ramani.” Says Banu, softly.
“Hmm… I thought so.” He replies.
“But, I thought that…” before she finishes her line Vasu was thrown to the front. His head covers with blood as he hit a rock.
“Don’t worry Banu, I’ll finish off this guy and we’ll live a happy life together.” Here comes the villain, Mahesh.
Mahesh Ramamoorthy was deeply in love with Banu since in college, but he did not approach her in anyway. He thought that he had no competitors to approach Banu after he realise that Banu did not like Vasu since they were quarrelling all the time they met.
Things went upside down after Mahesh learnt that Vasu and Banu engaged, and it is because of their family. Once he returned from foreign he went look for Vasu, and now he has meet him and also bit him.
“I know Banu that you always hate this #$%@* guy.” Mahesh shouted like a freak.
Vasu still lay unconsciously. Mahesh with his bunch of people started to beat Vasu. Banu tries to stop Mahesh but it failed. Banu covers Vasu with herself and shouted “Stop it Mahesh, I said stop it!” “I love Vasu,all my heart and soul belongs to him. Now you just get lost from here!” She yelled.
“But Banu…” Mahesh stops
“Just go away Mahesh!” she cried while hugging Vasu.
Mahesh leave them, now it is only Vasu and Banu.

“Vasu, it’s all because of me. Please Vasu don’t leave me. I love you so much.” Cried Banu (sitting at his bed side)
Vasu stayed unconsciously for two (2) days. The next day, Banu enter in the ward room and cried “Vasu, do you know something? I’ve fallen in love. Even during college I didn’t hate you. It’s just that… you know all the girls always around you. So I don’t want you to think that I’m as them. Later my feelings change towards you. I had to deny myself, because we don’t know what may happen in future. Do you know? During the engagement I was so happy. Yes I’ve fallen in love with you. I can’t even imagine a life without you.” She expressed herself without realising that Vasu has already awake.
Not only expressing with words but also with action. She kissed him, but she felt unusual. Again she kissed him, again she felt unusual. She did not really investigate what was the unusual thing was.
When she was about to leave, Vasu holds her hand with a smile and said “Thank you.”
She turned to him and curiously asked “Thank you?” “You… you are awake?” she asked.
“Yes, I am.” He answered.
Banu was about to call the doctor but Vasu stopped her. “Banu, there is no need to call the doctor as he had examined me.”
“What?! The doctor has examined you? Wait am minute. You have heard everything I said just now. Don’t you? She asked.
“Yes, including your honey like sweet kiss.” He added.
“So you really kissed me back, weren’t you? She asked curiously about the unusual thing she felt.
He just smile at her. Before they further their conversation, the doctor enters in. “You are allowed to go home if there aren’t any complications. Your right hand has fracture and head injury is not to be worry.” Then the doctor went out.
“Banu, actually I also like you during college, but your reaction doesn’t allow me to take any further steps to know you.” He expresses himself.

Vasu has been discharged. Their friends pay him a visit.
“Vasu, what happened?” asks one of his friend Vedham.
“Oh, it were Mahesh and his gang beat me few days back.” He answered.
“What?! Mahesh?! Why he did this?” asks Banu’s friend Malar.
“He says that he loves me and now that I’m engaged to Vasu, he thought that it’s fully forced by our family.” Answers Banu.
“That’s one more I wanted to ask. How you both ended up in engagement? In college you both were like dog and cat. Can’t stand looking at each other’s face. But now have to stay together for the rest of your life.” Asks another friend of them, Ashok.
“Smile. Actually our engagement has been decided by our family. She is my relative. At first I didn’t know that it was her. I was quite shocked, but then it ended up well. Now we love each other.” Explained Vasu, holding Banu’s hand.
Banu smile.
“Ok,ok, now that everything settled, we wanted you to give us a bachelor party.” Asks Vedham.
“Hahaha…(Laugh), Hay that’s all supposed to have before wedding not after engagement.” Laughed Vasu.
“Oh, Sorry, Whatever it is we need to celebrate your engagement.” he ordered to Vasu.
“No,no,no, we can’t let him to arrange the party, he’ll give a bunch of excuses. Plus his condition like this. We will arrange the party and your job is to come together with your future wife.” Says Ashok.

Two (2) weeks later Vasu went to hospital, to examine him. He and Banu went to college as usual. They pay more focus on their studies since they only left few months to graduate, if they pass the exams. The examination day arrived. They did their best.
Now they are in their semester break, waiting for results. Now, both Vasu’s and Banu’s friends start to plan on the party. They planned to have it in hotel. They arranged quite a grand party.
On the way, Banu lean on Vasu, advised him not to consume alcohol too much in that party. He just smile and nodded. They arrived to the hotel.
Everyone who attended the party, were stunned by Banu. The party only started after the arriving of the couple. Just because Banu has advised him, he almost did not want to touch alcohol contained drinks. His friends keep on pursuing him to have a gulp. After seeking permission from his sweetheart he has it.
After looking at his drastic change, his friend started to tease him. Banu did not speak a word about it. Her eyes were just guarding Vasu. They started to dance. Some of their friends dance movements were hilarious, but who cares, after all they all were here to celebrate Vasu and Banu and to have fun.
The intimate between Vasu and Banu caught everyone’s attention.
“They are made for each other.” Whispered their friends among them.

It was late night, Vasu and Banu make a move from the party. They thank their friends for arranging such party. It was heavily raining. On the way, suddenly Vasu’s car breaks down. He tried to call his friends but there were no coverage.
Vasu can’t just sit in the car. He needs to finds a way. So he gets down from the car although Banu stopped him. After walking for sometime, he came back to his car.
“I saw a house there. We can request to stay there from the house owner.” He suggested to Banu.
Banu just agree with him. Both ran towards the house. Vasu shouted to call the house owner but no answer. He tried to open the door, it was locked. He broke the window and went in the house.
Suddenly it turns blackout, maybe caused by the huge storm. Banu who got scared holds Vasu’s hands, just follow wherever his leg moves. He was on a quest to find a room which has ‘dry clothes’ as theirs were totally wet, using his mobile phone light.
They went into a room, which they believe might have some clothes. They were right. That room was quite a big and beautiful. While they were changing their clothes, suddenly a lightening strikes. Vasu saw something in that six (6) feet tall mirror.
He goes nearer, nearer and nearer, again both lightening and storm strike. He stopped there. Banu who was afraid, close her ears and turned. The time she turned she felt someone standing in front of her. She felt a heavy breathing, again the storm strike, she got startle. Then, she realised that it was Vasu. That night they both were drifted away, in each others hugs.

The sun shines on Vasu’s face who is having a good deep sleep. He opens his eyes. Looking at Banu, who by that time woke earlier than Vasu and was sitting on a chair, watching Vasu, who had received some scratches on his body and lipstick marks.
Vasu greet her with a smile. She replied with throwing stuffs (as clothes, table lamp, and etc) to him.
“It’s all because of you! How if we don’t ended up with marriage? Our parents already warned us.” She shouted and cries.
“Banu calm down. If you happen to be pregnant, I’ll be responsible. Even if we don’t ended up with marriage, I’ll still marry you even though I had to do it without our parents blessings, my dear wife.” He comforts her.
They both get ready to leave the house. At the time they were about to leave the house, the house owner came. They were quite lucky as the house owner did not call the police. The house owner just listens to Vasu’s explanations. The house owner also helps Vasu to get a mechanic to repair his car.
From now on, both of them understand well each other. They are just like normal married couple. They sleep in same bed, but nothing happens. Banu does her routine as a normal house wife.

It was early morning. The door bell of Vasu’s house rang. Banu from the kitchen thought who it would be at this time. She went and open the door, to her great shock, it was Vasu’s mom and dad. She welcomes them.
“How are you?” asks her both parents in law.
“I’m fine aunty, uncle.” She answer. “What is the matter, until you both are here without informing?” she added
“We had an urgent work here, that’s why couldn’t inform you both.” Explain her future father in law.
“Where is Vasu?” asks her future mother in law.
“Oh, Vasu is sleeping, aunty” she answer and went to kitchen to make coffee.
On the other hand, Vasu who did not know about his parents arriving shouted for Banu, when his bed coffee was not there. Thilainath and Anuradha were shocked to see Vasu drinking bed coffee. As far as they know Vasu does not practice that habit. Then they looked at Banu. They just smile.
He gets down, as he lost his patient waiting for Banu. Once he got down, straightaway he hugged Banu and present her few kissed.
“Why didn’t bring my bed-coffee my dear wife?” he asked.
“Parents.” She whispered.
“Parents?” he puzzled.
Premnath and Anuradha were just watching their sons’ behaviour.
“Your parents.” Banu raised her voice.
“My parents?! Where?” he asked and looks around, he was blush away when he saw them. He went upstairs with his head down.
Both Premnath and Anuradha are glad that both Vasu and Banu do not felt that they are force. They realize that Vasu and Banu understand and love each other more than they thought.

“Hi mom, dad.” He greets his parents with no guts to face them.
They replied him with a smile.
“Vasu, Banu we are here it’s because your grandma in village is not feeling well. She is getting worst.” Anuradha told them telling the purpose if their visit. “Your grandma wanted to see your wedding as soon as possible.” Ashe added.
“What? Grandma is ill?” cried Banu.
Premnath and Anuradha could understand Banu’s feelings as she is her grandma’s pet. Banu could not resist her feelings, she went to her bedroom and cried. Vasu who could not resist tears from Banu’s eye, tailed her and coax her.
Two and a half (2 ½ ) months the preparation for the wedding took place. It was like a festival for the whole village. Soon after that the wedding took place. It was a big ceremony. All their relatives and friends came and wished them.
Soon the most awaited moment has arrived. The First Night. The very typical concept of this first night is that the couple will have sexual intercourse but it is not exactly like that. Actually it is depends to the couple on how to spend the night.
The ladies in the house prepare Banu. She is to be send to in a decorated room where Vasu is waiting for her. She was sent with a glass of milk. Once she entered the room, they were looking at each other. Vasu smile at her. She put the milk on the table and prostrate on Vasu’s feet to gain blessings. Vasu invited her to sit on the bed.
“Eh what’s that?” he asked to Banu.
Banu was surprise and go to the mirror to see what’s wrong. “What?” she asked.
Then Vasu hugged her from the back and showed to her what he meant. “You are blushing. First time I’m seeing you shy.” “Do you realise that this is our second first night. Even that time your face did not show this shyness.” He added.
“Shh… don’t say that loudly. You also wasn’t this descent that time.” She tittered.

Next morning, Banu woke up earlier than the others in the house to take bath and pretended that nothing happened between them last night. When the people in tha house woke up and see Banu, they were surprise.
Anuradha handed over a cup of coffee to Banu and asked her to give to Vasu before he shouts for bed-coffee. She goes in to the room, but Vasu was not on the bed. She go in further. Suddenly hands rolled over Banu’s hip and kisses perched on her cheeks. It was Vasu from back of the room door. Vasu had to leave Banu as someone knocks the door.
“Breakfast is ready, mom calling you both.” Tells Banu’s sister Hema.
After having their breakfast, they were getting ready to go home. Vasu and Banu had to leave because their semester break is going to end. While Premnath and Anuradha leave because they wanted to do preparation, so that Vasu can take over their family business.
Vasu and Banu live in the previous house they lived so do Premnath and Anuradha. Their life’s went on as usual, after all they had been living like a husband and wife before their wedding took place.
There were some little changes in Vasu. Now, he is quite diligent enough to help Banu in household work. He also develops a new routine, which is to hug and kiss Banu when he woke up, whenever he goes out and whenever he returns home.
As expected both excel in their studies, as expected. They received guest. It were both Vasu’s and Banu’s parents. They are here to fulfil tradition needs. The bride’s parents must invite the bridegroom and cook for them, including performing rituals. They told Vasu that the third (3rd) day from today is a good day so you both are invited on that day.

Vasu and Banu accompanied by Premnath and Anuradha went to their village. Vasu and Banu were treated as if they are the Prince and Princess. Since Banu is newlywed, her sister Hema was asking a lot of questions to Banu.
“Eh, How your husband? Is he treating you well?” asks Hema.
Banu who does not want her sister what had actually happen said, “We are just newlywed, I don’t know him before, then what do you expect more.”
“Don’t know him? Impossible. You both were allowed to stay in a house before marriage and you said you don’t know him?” “So did ‘it’ happened?” she added.
Banu who understand her sister’s meaning just went off angrily. Banu straightaway finds Vasu who was at the rooftop.
“Vasu, what are you doing here?” she asked.
“Looking at my wife’s hometown scenery.” He answered and put his hand around her waist.
Then she lean on him and say “Vasu, my sister is asking me a lot of questions. I don’t want her to know what happened between us. You know we must pretend as if this is a fully arranged marriage.”
He just nods. Banu quickly went and hide herself after she heard her sister Hema’s voice. Hema invite Vasu for lunch. While all the men of the family are having lunch, the women will have to serve them, Banu is not an exception.
While she was serving, her saree move up and down according to her movements. This revealed something that her sister should not see but it was too late as Banu was not aware of it.
“Banu, why you patch plaster?” asked Hema.
Vasu who was drinking water, spit it out.
“It’s mosquito bite, that’s why.” She answered and pinched Vasu who was smiling.
Hema who were not satisfied continue questioning Banu, “Banu do you have any problems with Vasu? You seem to be unhappy.”
“No! We don’t have any problem, I’m fine. You don’t think so much.” She answered abruptly.
Due to the successful reunion and their wedding all of them went to their ‘Kulatheivam Kovil’ to perform vows. On the way, Banu fall asleep and leaned on Vasu’s hand and he takes care of her. At that time, Hema knew that her sister had lied to her.
It was at temple where all the family members got to know that they love themselves. When the priest gives ‘Kungkumam’ , Banu received it but Vasu who put it in her forehead.
Even then Hema did ask Banu about their comfortable with each other, Banu denied saying that they just married and Vasu fix the rules to put ‘Kungkumam’ on her forehead.

The doctor came out, with worried face. Everyone was puzzled.
“Who is the husband for that lady?” asked the doctor.
Vasu stepped forward.
“Your wife is pregnant three (3) months.” he said with a smile.
Immediately, the ladies went in with Vasu. They were so confused. Vasu sit beside her and hug her. Banu was worried too.
“Oh my God Banu, what happened? How is it possible for you to be pregnant this early? Who is responsible?” asked her mother.
“Vasu, what is this? Why you are seems to be very happy?” asked Anuradha.
Then only Vasu realise. He tried to calm his mother but he couldn’t. he had to tell the truth.
“I am responsible for her pregnant. We have been together before marriage.” he confessed.
They smile shyly.
Few weeks later Hema visited Banu and she was quite shock to see her sister in that attire. Banu was just wearing a singlet and tiny shorts. Not only that, Banu and Vasu were running all over the house without realising that the door is open.
Hema called Banu. Both were in shocked. Hema asks the Banu to tell everything as their family really concern about both of them. Banu had no other choice than tell her tale. As usual then everything ended up well and they lived happily.
